2014
Jim started racing Go Karts in 2014 when he was 7 years old. He won his first race in Cadet 9 (9 years and younger) in January 2015.
2016
Jim started competing in the Australian Karting Championship, the Australian national series where he began learning his craft, racing against the best young racers in the country.
2018
By his 3rd year of national level competition, Jim was consistently at the front of the field, winning multiple races, and finished 3rd in the championship overall.
2019 – 2020
As a 12 year old, Jim took on the challenge to race in the elite KA2 class for Juniors (under 16 years old). In his first year, he captured multiple pole positions and secured a race win.
In 2020, Jim took pole in the opening round and won several heats across the next few rounds. Jim was leading the national championship when it was cancelled due to COVID 19.
2021 – Present
At the age of 14, Jim moved from Go Karting into Formula Ford. After learning and gaining experience in his first season racing cars, Jim has cemented himself at the front of the national Formula Ford field.
