What a fantastic weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After qualifying second, the first heat was hotly contested.  Jim managed to briefly get past into the lead, but Christian Cowie managed to take back first a couple of corners later.  That’s how they would finish in heat 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heat 2 was challenging for everyone, as the rain made it exceptionally difficult to stay on the track.  Jim drove faultlessly in the rain, but again Christian proved too good to take out the heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a night’s rest, heat 3 was contested on a dry track.  This was a really close race which saw Christian take the win with Jim a really close second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heat 4 was a 30 lap final which would determine the winner of the meet.  Jim managed to get past Christian on the 10th lap, and then held on to first to take out the win for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
