Time for the last round of the Festival State Cup!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last round of the Festival State Cup was held at Monarto on a beautiful sunny day.  Jim was in a good position to win the series, so we just needed to ensure he got through OK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jim did really well, qualifying on pole in lap record time.  Jim drove away in Heat 1, winning the race and breaking the lap record again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heat 2 provided some excitement, with Jimmy’s CRG team mate Kelvin Kirk executing a great move to lead through the first 2 corners.  Jim fought back immediately to grab the lead across the top of the hill, and managed to stay in front for the rest of the heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jim started on pole for the final, and he had a clean run to take out the heat and the race meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win for the final round should secure Jim the win in the Festival State Cup.  Jim won’t get the chance to use the number 1 plate though, as he will be moving up to the Cadet 12 class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jim would like to congratulate his team mate Kel on finishing second for the race meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
