Time for the last round of the Festival State Cup!

The last round of the Festival State Cup was held at Monarto on a beautiful sunny day.  Jim was in a good position to win the series, so we just needed to ensure he got through OK.

Jim did really well, qualifying on pole in lap record time.  Jim drove away in Heat 1, winning the race and breaking the lap record again.

Heat 2 provided some excitement, with Jimmy’s CRG team mate Kelvin Kirk executing a great move to lead through the first 2 corners.  Jim fought back immediately to grab the lead across the top of the hill, and managed to stay in front for the rest of the heat.

Jim started on pole for the final, and he had a clean run to take out the heat and the race meeting.

The win for the final round should secure Jim the win in the Festival State Cup.  Jim won’t get the chance to use the number 1 plate though, as he will be moving up to the Cadet 12 class.

Jim would like to congratulate his team mate Kel on finishing second for the race meeting.
